Current Cause: Little Free Library
Giving Back Staff Selection by Jean
Jean’s passion for the Little Free Library began during 2020. Because of COVID (with a lot of time on her hands, as we all had) she began walking outdoors A LOT! Exploring neighborhoods on foot made her realize how many Little Free Libraries exist, especially in our community and the surrounding ones - and many, MANY more were being created during that time as well. Since Jean’s regular volunteer opportunities were put on hold due to COVID, she started buying a few new books online each month to take on her walks to stock Little Free Libraries along her regular routes. She has continued this, and now still purchases new books (as well as collects used books) to stock as many libraries as possible. Often, it now requires a car and multiple stops to deposit the books due to the number of books she now obtains. She intentionally tries to focus on libraries in those neighborhoods where Spotless Spaces clients reside, and she also tries to tailor the books she puts in the Little Free Libraries to the residents of that community. It’s a fun project that Jean is happy to continue as long as the books keep coming!
Currently Spotless Spaces Cleaning is taking book donations from clients and Jean will deposit them into one of the many Little Free Libraries she frequents. We are accepting donations of all genres, levels, and conditions of books.
